Psychiatric and psychological care, in Nairobi, from people qualified to give it.
Luam connects you with licensed Kenyan psychiatrists and psychologists for confidential, professional treatment — not general wellness advice.
Sessions available in-person in Nairobi and by video. First-time patients are usually seen within a week.
It's okay to ask for help with any of this.
People come to us at very different stages — some in crisis, some after months of feeling unlike themselves. Both are good reasons to book a first appointment.
The clinicians you'll actually meet.
Every Luam session is with a named, licensed psychiatrist or psychologist — never a general "wellness coach." You can verify any clinician's registration directly with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.

Between sessions, Symmetry helps you notice your own patterns.
A short daily check-in, built with your clinician's input — not a replacement for care, a companion to it.
Common questions.
Is everything I say confidential?+
Yes. What you discuss with your clinician stays between you, in line with professional and legal confidentiality standards — with the only exceptions being situations where there's a risk to your safety or someone else's, which your clinician will always explain clearly.
What actually happens in the first session?+
Your clinician will ask about what's brought you in, your history, and what support looks like for you. There's no obligation to have the "right words" — it's a conversation, not a test.
Can I have sessions by video instead of in person?+
Yes, most of our clinicians offer video consultations, and many patients continue their entire course of care this way.
Do I need a referral to book?+
No referral is needed. You can book directly, whether this is your first time seeking care or you're switching providers.
What if I'm not sure whether I need a psychiatrist or a psychologist?+
That's a normal thing to be unsure about. Tell us what you're experiencing when you book, or call us, and we'll match you with the right clinician.
